John thanks for letting me know about this group. I will get some pics on here as soon as I can. I have one of a 20lb Gobbler I got last year but the pic is of "Jethro" already field dressed and skinned. But it is kind of a cool pic, I laid him out the way he is going to be mounted.

Welcome to the group. I saw the picture... way cool. That should come out nice. I did my own mount once with the tail feathers fanned behind, and the two feet coming out holding the arrow I used out in front. The beard was hanging on the arrow, and I had a picture in the middle. Looked pretty good, but near as fancy/good as yours is going to look, LOL. Good job!

Welcome WC! I am big into archery/bowhunting myself, and did get a Turkey once with my bow. I think that was the best tasting turkey I ever had, LOL. I was actually deer hunting, but had bought a turkey tag just in case, and sure enough one walked by...
Be sure to let us know how your hunt goes, and some pictures would be great LOL. ... even if not successful... ;-) Take care. |

This group is for those of us that love the shooting sports as a part of our heritage. Hunting anything from big game to upland birds in both pictures to share, and stories to tell would be most welcome.

Many of us don't hunt, but enjoy the activities of archery, clay pigeon, target shooting, or just plain old plinking out back as a hobby. Please feel free to share your pictures or stories of family and friends in their enjoyment of the outdoors. Tips, advice, game recipes, and humor are cool too! Hopefully as Gather grows, so will the participation in writing about and sharing pictures of one of America's oldest pastimes. Thank You. By popular demand, fishing stories and photos now accepted... ;-) (Please try to stay on topic with your publications, I will periodically remove non-related material, thanks.) My Other Groups- Links
